This 127mm (5-inch) Mecanum wheel set includes two right-handed wheels and two left-handed wheels. Each wheel is equipped with 12 rollers 

and is independently driven. Mecanum wheels allow omnidirectional movement, enabling the platform to move in any direction without changing the rotation direction of the wheels.

Each of the four wheels contains a series of rollers that are angled at 45° relative to the wheel's plane. These rollers are mounted in a orientation parallel 

to the axis of rotation of the wheel hub, allowing for smooth and precise multidirectional motion.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the mecanum wheel?

Much easier to climb ramps with Mecanums. To my understanding Mecanums are also more efficient in forward and reverse directions (like a normal wheel) while still giving you lateral mobility. Omni-Drives will give you true omnidirectional motion.

The advantages of the Mecanum wheel and the omnidirectional wheel are flexibility and convenience, and the disadvantage is expensive. The omnidirectional wheel, as the name suggests,
